Forty years in the trade. Twenty in Jonesboro.

Nightingale Mechanical is a family company, and the family learned the work the slow way.

Where it started

Around 1980 our father, Myron, hung out a shingle as a one-man heating, plumbing and electrical shop. He worked it alongside a farm — alfalfa, corn, soybeans, stock cattle and a herd of mama cows — through the eighties and nineties. Service calls between chores; installs between planting and harvest. Nobody handed him a customer; he earned each one and kept them.

Samuel started riding along in the late nineties, a kid handing up tools and learning to read a wiring diagram before he could drive. That's the education behind this company: not a sales program, but years of watching one man take responsibility for every job he touched.

How we got here

  • 1980

Myron Nightingale begins as a one-man heating, plumbing and electrical contractor, farming alongside the trade.

  • Late 1990s

Samuel starts working with him as a boy, learning the trade from the truck.

  • 2005

The family moves to Northeast Arkansas and opens Nightingale Mechanical in Jonesboro — heating and air only, no plumbing or electrical. Samuel and his brothers Marlin and Marcus install alongside their father.

  • 2005–2016

The company builds its reputation on homes, small churches and schools, nursing homes and strip retail, with select projects as far as Dumas, Arkansas and Livingston, Alabama.

  • 2016

Marlin leaves to join a family agriculture business. Nightingale hires its first employee outside the family, and the team begins to grow.

  • 2022–2024

Carrier awards Nightingale the President's Award three consecutive years, judged on installation quality and customer satisfaction.

  • 2026

Marcus moves on to other pursuits. Samuel runs the company day to day; Myron, mostly retired, remains a partner.

What hasn't changed

Someone is responsible

The people who design and install your system are the ones who stand behind it when it needs attention. That was true in 1980 and it's true now.

The work is done right or done again

Load calculations, sealed sheet metal, verified charge, commissioned controls. We don't sell a cheaper version of the job.
